About Hospice of the Upstate

Hospice of the Upstate exists to provide support and care for patients with a limited life expectancy.  We serve Upstate South Carolina and Northeast Georgia.  Hospice patients and families are offered a different kind of hope - A hope to maintain dignity, live to the fullest, be free from pain and spend valuable time with loved ones wherever they call home.   

Hospice care is not the same everywhere.  Hospice of the Upstate is committed to offering exceptional care that is distinctively different:

An experienced team of Doctors, Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, Chaplains and Counselors create a plan of care according to
the individual needs and wishes of each patient

Situated among beautiful landscaped gardens, the Callie & John Rainey Hospice House is a choice when remaining home is not the best option

A variety of grief groups as well as caregiver support are offered to hospice families and community members
 

bullet

Our children’s counselor creatively uses art, music and outdoor experiences to provide grief support for children before and after a loss

As a non-profit agency, we have been supported by community donors and volunteers since 1988



 


 


Mission

Hospice of the Upstate provides compassionate,
quality care to terminally ill patients and their families, while offering leadership and community education for end of life care.

~ Each year, Hospice of the Upstate
   cared for over 1,000 patients. 

~ Over 1,100 family members
    participated in group sessions
    through our Bereavement Services.

~ Approximately 1,100 community
   members attended a variety of
   educational programs while our
   children’s programs reached more
   than 300 grieving children.
